PATTERN OF IELTS EXAMINATION
- 1. IELTS is taken in offline form in the presence of an examination incharge appointed by the authority.
- 2. The exam is to be taken by two ways one is computer based online examination which a student needs to give in the presence of examination incharge and another one is paper based offline examination which a student gives through pen and paper.

Speaking: – In both ielts academic and ielts general training total time allotted for speaking is 10-15 minutes in which exam is divided into three parts that is introduction and interview, individual long turn and discussion.
Listening: – In both ielts academic and ielts general training total time allotted is 30 minutes only in which there are 4 parts and 40 questions and you need to answer them by listening the content given.
Reading: – In both ielts academic and ielts general training total time of 60 minutes is allotted to you to read three passages and 40 questions and you need to answer those questions from the content given. Ielts Institute in Rohini
Writing: – In ielts academic 60 minutes is allotted for 2 tasks that are describing the information and essay writing and for ielts general training 60 minutes is provided for 2 tasks that are letter writing and essay writing.

Types of IELTS
There are different types of examination of IELTS for different purposes. Each and every type of IELTS is important but for different purposes. SYLLABUS OF IELTS EXAMINATION
Whatever exam we are preparing for we need a detailed information about that particular exam. What type of questions can be there? How many questions from each section would we asked? Listening: – The exam of listening will be taken in four parts in which.

- 2 could be a monologue about any day to day or any social context between two persons. For example: – a conversation for any local facility.
- 3 could be a conversation between 4 people about any academic concept. For example: – discussion about any assignment between a student and a teacher.
- 4 could be any monologue about academic concept between any number of people. For example: – a lecturer is taking lecture in the campus.
Reading: – In IELTS academics, in each section a material is given to a candidate to read which may be written in different fonts or contain diagram. The content of the given material will be on general interest for both UG and PG aspirants. IELTS general training contains of five to six passages on different topics such as everyday conversation, facts, social topics or topics of general interest from different sources such as ads, company’s handbooks, documents, newspaper and journals.
Writing: – In task 1 of ielts academics you need to describe the given chart, diagram or image in 150 words in 20 minutes and in task 2 you need to discuss your point of view in the given topic. In task 1 of ielts general training exam you need to explain the situation in the form of a letter in 150 words in 20 minutes and in task 2 you need to discuss your point of view in the given topic.
Speaking: – In both ielts academics and ielts general training a candidate needs to speak for 10 to 15 minutes in 3 parts. Part 1 is of 4- 5 minutes and the candidate need to give their best introduction which includes information about them like their education, work, family, hobbies and much more. Part 2 is of 4-5 minutes where a topic is given to you written on a card and you need to speak about that topic and the examiner can also ask few questions about that topic.
